Grand opening on September 21

Everybody welcome

The exhibition will be officially opened to the general public on Saturday 21 September. On the very first day, we will provide lots of extras to welcome visitors, such as demonstrations and animations.

During the expo, you will get to know Margaret of Parma, a grande dame of the turbulent 16th century. You will see famous portraits and magnificent objects that Margaret cherished or commissioned. Several European masterpieces are coming to Oudenaarde. Paintings and drawings, tapestries and miniatures, gold and silverware, stained-glass windows,... They immerse you in the art and culture of a historical tipping time. Get to know the rituals and traditions of the time: the (falcon) hunt, feasts, etiquette and dress code.
