Maagdendale Abbey becomes new cycling hub

The former church of the Maagdendale Abbey in Oudenaarde will get a new interpretation: the Cycling in Flanders hub. The successor to the current Centre Tour of Flanders will act as a true cycling attraction in the Flemish Ardennes and all of Flanders, where cycling enthusiasts from home and abroad will be able to indulge.

Surrounded by the most legendary hills and since 2012 the arrival place of the Tour of Flanders, Oudenaarde is the ultimate destination for this unique cycling experience. In addition, the chapel of the Abbey of Maagdendale, a stone's throw from the market, offers the perfect location due to its open character, international allure and beautiful location on the towpath along the Scheldt.

The new cycling hub has space for bicycle hire, catering facilities, an exhibition area, a shop and a business centre including office spaces and meeting rooms. The showcase for everything that has to do with cycling culture!

The new cycling centre not only promises to be the place to be for locals, but will also inspire domestic and foreign visitors to visit the city, the region and Flanders. We are already looking forward to the opening of this new hotspot for cycling fanatics.
