Pamele
Heritage along the Scheldt
The Celtic Scaldis means the beautiful river. No wonder that the Scheldt has fascinated and inspired for centuries. In the Middle Ages, for example, a small town appeared on the right bank of the Scheldt, Pamele, separated from Oudenaarde by the river. In the 16th century, it became a district of Oudenaarde, now a place full of stories and with its own authentic patrimony. Four historical gems in a row, ready to be discovered.
