Rewriting Oudenaarde’s history: that’s not really our thing. Instead, at MOU we are happy to serve up our big histories with little anecdotes tailored to your class. Find out how we usually share history with primary and secondary school children. 

Would you like to emphasize a particular theme or subject during the tour? At MOU, we are happy to respond to what you have been discussing in class. Our offering can be supplemented with a city tour or other activities in the neighborhood. 

Scheduled for academic year 2024–2025.

The MOU is located in Oudenaarde's late-gothic town hall. You will travel 500 years back in time and discover special historical pieces such as tapestries and the silver collection from the city's heyday.

If you want to visit the museum with a class group, we will discuss together what suits your needs.

From spring 2025, MOU will tell the surprising story of Oudenaarde and the art of tapestry through a number of digital experience tools. A film, interactive tools and game elements show the rich history of our city.
