Black Sisters’ Convent
Again close to the Scheldekaai, on the corner of the Pamele Square, is the Zwartzusterklooster, a monumental building dating back to the 13th century. The Sisters of the Augustinian Order organised care for the sick and education there. Since 1968, it is only the small window frames that remind us of the nuns. The city has ambitious plans for this site. The walled garden faces a new future as a nice little city park.
